Some decisions are too important to carry alone.
I work alongside founders and senior leaders through succession, growth, and people decisions that carry real weight.
When the next move is not clear
You may know something needs to change, but not yet know how to move without damaging people, trust, or the future of what has been built.
Succession is getting closer. Growth has stretched the structure. A key leader may not be ready. A people decision feels more than just complicated. Family or board dynamics must be sorted out.
That is where I come alongside you — to help you think clearly, sort through what matters, and move forward with wisdom and care.
A steady outside voice when the issue is hard to untangle
I come alongside founders and senior leaders when the issue is complex, personal, and difficult to talk through inside the organization.
Often, the need is not more information. It is experienced presence — someone who has sat with leaders in hard transitions before, can listen for what is really going on, and help you think through the decision without oversimplifying it.
Sometimes the work is strategic. Sometimes it is relational. Often, it is both.
I help you see what is really going on, weigh the people and trust involved, and decide what needs to happen next.
Trusted by leaders in the moments that matter
“I first engaged with Steve because I knew that if I was going to go into business with my son I had to learn how to give him a voice. I tell people that bringing Steve on board was the “best investment I’ve made” in our company.”
— Andy Schuch, CEO, Schuch-Up Sales
“Steve’s ability to coach with deep authentic interest allowed me to discover fresh aspects of my work and life that are still impactful today.”
— Dr. Gary Runn, Vocare Leadership
“My investment in coaching with Steve has really been one of the most significant accelerators to my leadership development, ultimately the impact in our organization. I couldn’t recommend him more.”
—Taylor Cochran, U.S. Executive Director, Bless the Children Ministries
Why Leaders Invite Me In
For more than thirty years, I’ve worked with leaders across business, family enterprise, ministry, and nonprofit settings.
My work has included advisory partnerships with founders, CEOs, and senior teams, along with development work for emerging leaders preparing to carry more responsibility. Sometimes the work is organizational. Sometimes it is personal. Often, it is both.
Clients have invited me into seasons of transition, growth, leadership development, team complexity, and hard decisions. Several have returned years after our first engagement. I take that seriously. It tells me the work was not just useful in the moment — it was trusted over time.
